Call for entries: Diver/BSoUP Print competition 2013
The British Society of Underwater Photographers (BSoUP) and Diver magazine is calling for entries to their 2013 print competition. The shortlisted entries will be voted on by the public at the DIVE SHOW at the NEC, Birmingham over the weekend of 26-27th October 2013.

France announces shark cull in Réunion
The French government is planning to cull a further 90 bull and tiger sharks around the island of Réunion. The Huffington Post reports that this is in response to 5 fatal shark attacks that have occurred there since 2011.
EOS 7D to get RAW video
Wetpixel member David Cheung has reported on the forum that the team at Magic Lantern has managed to create a hack that will allow the Canon EOS 7D to output RAW video files, similar to that now being worked on for the EOS 5D.
Panasonic announces the LUMIX GX7
Panasonic has announced the release of its LUMIX DMC-GX7 mirrorless camera. It features a new 16 megapixel Live MOS sensor with an ISO range of 125 to 25600 and a new fast AF system. It records 1,920 x 1,080 60p (60 Hz) / 50p (50 Hz) videos in AVCHD Progressive or MP4 (MPEG-4 / H.264) in P/A/S/M modes and has focus peaking to aid keeping video sharp
