A minute beneath British waves on YouTube
Wetpixel member Jo Horrocks of Cuttlefish Productions has posted a video entitled a film onto YouTube entitled “A minute beneath British waves”, Jo says of her film:
“I wanted to showcase the great variety of life and colour that can be found in UK waters. I’d had an idea to make an in your face, fast-paced video set to an up-beat music track, so I chose a royalty-free music track and built the video to the beats of the music.
“The summer here has not been the best, but I hope this will inspire people to try UK diving, or if they’re not divers, to marvel and admire the life that can be found beneath our UK waves.”

Project update: Nikonos RS lenses on a digital SLR
Andrej Belic has written previously here on Wetpixel about his project to adapt Nikonos RS lenses for use with housed digital SLR cameras. After reading the conclusions in the Wetpixel Nikon D800 review, and the stress on getting quality optics to use with it, he has provided an update about his project. He now has working waterproof adaptors that allow Nikonos lenses to be fitted onto Subal and Nauticam housings. These have been tested in Croatia, and Andrej reports that the corner sharpness of the 13m lens with a Nikon D3s is acceptable at smaller apertures, even on FX. He is planning to start production of the adaptors in mid-September.
