In part due to a new simplified claims process in the US, Wetpixel Editor Adam Hanlon provides an overview of copyright, and how underwater image makers might protect their work from being used without reward. He stresses that he is not an intellectual property lawyer, but tries to provide some basic principles and ideas to ensure that if your work is used without permission, you understand what recourse you can potentially seek.

Seacam Announces Housings for EOS R5 and Ninja V
Seacam has released images and details of their new Silver housing for the Canon EOS R5 mirrorless camera and a housing for the Atomos Ninja V recorder/monitor. The housing can be used with the EF to R adaptor and along with 3 ports for strobes, vacuums, or remotes, also has a port for HDMI 2.0 output via Seacam’s new HDMI connector. The Ninja V housing takes the Sony NP-F970 battery and can be fitted with a vacuum if required.

Ocean Art 2020: Results
The results of the 2020 Ocean Art Underwater Photo Contest have been announced. Hearty congratulations to Gaetano Dario Gargiulo for his winning CFWA image of an octopus with its tentacles on the dome and to all the other photographers and members of the Wetpixel community among the placings.
