Tickets Available: SDUFEX 2022
Tickets are now available for the 2022 San Diego Undersea Film Exhibition (SDUFEX). It is being held at the Irwin M. Jacobs Qualcomm Hall in San Diego, California, USA on 01 October from 7-9.30 pm. There will be an online virtual festival from 9 to 16 October.
Nikon Announces A Z Mount 17-28mm f2.8 Lens
Nikon has announced a 17-28mm wide-angle zoom for Z mount cameras. It features a constant aperture of f/2.8, but perhaps more relevant for underwater use, has a minimum focus distance of 0.19m (7.5”). Of course, performance behind a dome port is, as yet, unknown.
AOI Releases the UCL-90PRO Close-Up lens
AOI has announced the UCL-90PRO macro close-up wet lens. It features a magnification of +18.5 and has an anti-reflective coating on all lens element surfaces. The attachment is via an M67 adaptor ring, which allows for the lens’ rear element to be located close to the front of the lens port.
Fujifilm Announces X-H2 Camera
Fuji has announced the X-H2 APS-C camera. It has a 40.2 MP sensor with the X-Processor 5. It records video internally at 8K/30P video in 4:2:2 10-bit and 12-bit RAW video externally in Apple ProRes RAW or Blackmagic RAW.
GoPro Ships HERO11 Action Camera
Go Pro has announced that they are shipping the HERO11 range of Actions cameras. It features two models; HERO11 Black and HERO11 Mini. They feature larger sensors with 10-Bit color, a wider FOV, and better batter life

Panasonic Announces 18mm Wide Angle Lens
Panasonic has announced an ultra-wide 18mm f/1.8 full frame lens. It has 13 elements and a minimum focus distance of 7.09” (18cm). Performance behind a dome port is as yet unknown!
Canon Announces Five Camcorders
Canon has announced the release of 5 new 4K camcorders. The XA65/XA60 have a 1/2.3” and the XA75/XA70 have a 1” sensor and 20X or 15X optical zooms respectively. They have Dual Pixel CMOS AF, HDMI output, and internal recording to dual SD cards.
