2011 Wetpixel/Scubacam “Apres ADEX” party
About 30 people showed up for the Wetpixel/Scubacam Aprés ADEX Sundowner’s party at Tawandang Brewery at Suntec City on Friday night. David Cheung and Shawn Heinrichs hosted an eclectic group of people from housing manufacturers (Subal’s Stephaneks) to resort owners/managers, BBC cameramen (ScubaZoo) to fine art underwater photographers and underwater models. Even a few Wetpixel members popped in to put a face to the username. All in all, a fun night for those attending ADEX in Singapore. A picture is worth a thousand words so I’ll let the pictures show what happened:
Shawn Heinrichs and Simon Christopher of Scubazoo started the festivities.
The party started slow due to a schedule change by ADEX
Then the party got started with David Cheung of Scubacam, Peter Mooney of Scubapix,
Dan Baldocchi of LMI and Berkeley White of Backscatter.
Crystal Divers Bali’s Mnni and Else (the blondies) and friends were also on hand
Then it grew with the new managers of KBR’s Kaj and Barb as well as other resort managers
More people like Mark Shandur of WorldWide Sail and Dive, Marit Miners and Marcel from Misool Eco Resort
begin to make this party chug along!
As you can see from those 2 liter beer towers, we did plenty of chugging with
Sanah from Scubacam and friend, Rolf Sempert and Sigrid Stepanek of Subal.
Wetpixel member Peter Walker (Peterbkk) also joined the festivities
chatting with David and Dan.
Todd Essick and his model Kristen Koscielniak came later with Lembeh Resort’s Kerri Bingham
After so many beers, it’s not a good idea to play dexterity games against a seasoned
PADI instructor!
Those beer towers look pretty dangerous….
but Todd Essick didn’t stray too far from them!
...while Shawn just brought out the best in Kristen’s modeling!

Since we are on the subject of parties, ADEX also threw a party at Indochine’s Forbidden City the day after our party:

Although he did win a trip to Japan in the lucky draw!
Overall, about 30 people showed up for our Apres ADEX party and we all had a great time. Of course the after party party went on till 5am, but what happens in after parties are not for public consumption… stay tuned for the ADEX report!
