Aditech has released a type III Mangrove housing for Sony camcorders. Constructed of aluminum and Delrin, it features the LANC control produced by HGTV Underwater Development Group, which give access to almost all camcorder controls including manual white balance. The MVHS-L and MVHS-XL housing are compatible with almost all Sony camcorders, including the XR160, CX series and PJ10/30/50.

It is available now at $2,327 for the “L” version and $2,365 for the XL version.

Aditech is proud to announce the launching of the new type III Mangrove housing MVHS-L and MVSH-XL for the Sony camcorders HDR-CX360/690/700, etc. The housing’s front case is constructed from marine grade aluminum, machined, hard anodized and the rear case is machined from solid Delrin, it features a state of the art LANC control system that allows accessing almost all camcorder functions, including the White Balance, the external controls on the housing are linked by 12 electromagnetic pushbuttons to corresponding controls on the camera inside the case. The Mangrove housing is designed for optimal grip operation, it is depth rated to 200 meters (660 feet)

The maintenance-free electronic 12-key control makes operation even easier. Now, for the first time, it is possible to operate all camcorder functions (such as manual WB, aperture and shutter time, zoom and many others) using the electronic touch screen control. This control set is much easier to use than the mechanical controls or mechanical touch screen on competitors systems. The housing features a back 3.5” monitor that allows direct view of the camcorder´s monitor.
