Apple adds editing features to Photos app
At Apple’s World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC), the company has announced that the Photos app in the next version of the Sierra OS will feature “pro-level” editing functions. These include levels, curves, definition, sharpness, noise and selective color adjustment.
It also adds new selection counter, drag and drop interface, batch rotating and favoriting. Lastly, for the Photos app, it will offer an option to edit in other apps like Photoshop.
Given the increased file sizes of video , High Sierra will have HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding, also known as H.265) video compression standard. It can compress video up to 40% more than H.264, the current standard for video compression.
High Sierra will be available as a free software update for Mac owners in the Fall.
