Apple upgrades OS to El Capitan
Apple has released their new El Capitan operating system. Current reports and experience suggests that, in general, image and video editing apps seem to works fine with OS 10.11. FCP.CO reports that while Final Cut Pro X works fine, some third-party plugins and apps may not. The apps in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite seems completely unaffected by the upgrade, although it is too early to notice any performance advantages. For those using older Mac Pro towers, NVIDIA have not yet provided drivers for their graphics cards, forcing the use of the default OS X graphics drivers.
OS 10.11 El Capitan is available now as a free download from the App Store.
