Canon has published two white downloadable pdf papers outlining the technical specification of the new EOS 1D X Mark III. These first provides in-depth information about still imaging and design and secondly, video features, capabilities, and technologies. There will be a third paper published soon that will outline the network and Wi-Fi enhancements of the new camera.

The papers have been written by Canon U.S.A., Inc staff (with significant input from designers, engineers, product planners and R&D staff at the Canon, Inc. headquarters in Japan).
