Canon Rumors has discovered that Canon has registered a patent with the US Patent and Trademark Office for an 8-15mm RF fisheye zoom lens for R series EOS mirrorless cameras. It seems the patent is for a lens that is suitable for use with APS-C and full-frame cameras, with a back focus that it is shorter than the EF’s 44 mm.

There are currently no details as to when this lens will be released or any idea of price.
