Coronavirus: Travel Updates
The coronavirus outbreak in China has started to affect travel. On Thursday, the Papua New Guinea Immigration and Citizenship Authority suspended all online visas, on-arrival visas, and flights from Asia. This was subsequently reversed today, barring individuals that have visited Wuhan Province.
It is likely that there will be travel restrictions as the virus spreads. Some airlines have reduced or canceled flights to and from China. The US State Department has issued advice, as has the UK’s Foreign Office and the Canadian Government. For those planning to travel, consulting the above resources would seem a wise precaution.
In addition, we have started a thread on the Wetpixel forum and encourage people to post their experienced and findings as the situation changes and develops.
