Exposure Labs, the team behind the film Chasing Ice, is working on a new film documenting coral bleaching around the world. We posted their need for underwater photographers back in April, but they are still looking for more diving underwater photographers throughout the world.

Exposure Labs has two main requests from willing underwater photographers:

1) Photos Submission of any individual still photos (RAW format, or as high res as possible) depicting bleaching corals taken as early as January 2016 and as late as this coming August/ September. Please include locations and dates of images.

We have typically been requesting full rights to these submitted images for possible inclusion in the film, so perhaps some divers would be willing to offer these terms for a small select batch they can offer us for this use. Our hope is that the collective presentation of these images sourced from various photographers’ worldwide will make a “big splash” when the film is released. Of course we would plan to credit photographers in the film if we are able to use any of these images.

2) Video Testimonials We are eager to include a brief section in the documentary about the individuals worldwide who have offered their images and assistance to this project to inspire ocean conservation efforts. We wondered if divers might be willing to provide us with a very brief video clip of themselves (about 15-20 seconds), perhaps taken after one of their upcoming dives, either on the boat or on shore, that states something like the following:

My name is _______, I am in _____(region), just finished diving at _______(specific site), the coral has been_____ (some of your observations about bleaching there. ). We were / I was interested to get involved with this mission because ________.”

We are currently prioritizing images from the following locations: Aruba, Cuba, Curacao, Bonaire, Bahamas, Bermuda, Tuvalu, Jamaica, Cook Islands, (northern), Taiwan (Dongsha), China (Hainan Islands, Paracel Island), Panama, Belize, Western Sumatra, Hispaniola, Marquesas Islands, Wake Atoll, Nauru, Gulf of Kutch, India.
