Gates Underwater Products has published details of their housing for the RED PRO TOUCH 7” monitor. Featuring a cable with a “pass-through” design, the housing is slightly buoyant in the water. It has four assignable control buttons, and the monitor is powered from the camera.

Designed specifically for the RED PRO TOUCH 7.0” LCD (not included), the GATES RPT7 External Monitor makes framing, focus and exposure easy. A hi-res 1920 x 1136 resolution display and a wide variety of useful tools like edge peaking, false color, magnify and more are accessible via four easy-to-reach push controls on the RPT7 left-hand side.

The LCD cable — under exclusive license from RED - is tough and reliable, too. No additional connectors are between DSMC2 camera and LCD, the result of a Gates proprietary ‘pass through’ design. Further, the cable has been adapted with a tough polyurethane jacket and, should the jacket be damaged, internal water blocking materials to inhibit water migration toward camera and LCD, protecting your investment in the worst case situation.
