Channel NewsAsia reports that a Hong Kong government spokesman has stated that the territory will stop serving shark fin at official functions. It is doing so in response to “conservation concerns” and in order to provide “an example of raising public education and awareness on sustainability.” Dishes made with bluefin tuna will also be removed from official menus.
