The Underwater Woman, Christine Ren, in collaboration with photographer Brett Stanley has created an image called “Protect What’s Precious” that attempts to highlight the destructive effects of bottom trawling.

It was shot in the Bahamas and was partially funded by a “Create Some Good” grant from Redbubble. The goal of the campaign was to give exposure to Mission Blue’s campaign to highlight that: “The creation of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) helps safeguard the ocean from trawl nets that bulldoze the seafloor.”
