Keldan increases output on LUNA 8 CRI light

Keldan has announced that it has increased the output of their LUNA 8 LA-V CRI video light to 4000 lumen. The LED unit in the light has been redesigned, but still provides a color rendering of 95. Color rendering ensures that the spectrum of light is distributed correctly through the color temperature. We plan to feature an article on color rendering soon.

The light weighs 1.1kg, and has a burn time of 55 minutes using the supplied Li-Ion battery.

The LUNA 8 LA-V CRI video light is now available with a 50% increase of output power. The new design of the LED module delivers incredible 4000 lumen with a breathtaking color rendering of 95 (Ra). The measured luminous flux at the window is 3000 lumen.

The LUNA 8 LA-V CRI is the ultimate light for application where excellent color rendering is an issue. The outstanding color rendering is a unique feature of KELDAN lights which is not found with any other light on the market. The two graphs show bellow you the spectral power distribution of a standard white LED with a poor color rendering index of 70 (Ra) and the KELDAN high CRI LED for comparison.

With its lightweight of only 1.1kg (2.4 lb.) the LUNA 8 LA-V CRI is well suited for traveling. The burn time at full power is 55 minutes and exchangeable battery packs allow several dives per day without the need to wait for recharging the batteries.
