Mangrove has added a new housing for the Sony HXR-NX70 camcorder. The housing’s front case is machined from aluminum, with a Delrin rear. The housing features controls via LANC, giving access to most camcorder functions, including manual white balance, aperture, shutter speed and zoom. These are accessed via a 12 key electronic control on the rear of the housing, where a 3.4” monitor is situated too. It is available with flat or dome port options and the housing has a standard depth rating of 200m (660 feet).

It is available now at a retail price of €1,741.53.

The housing’s front case is constructed from marine grade aluminium, machined, hard anodized and the rear case is machined from solid Delrin, it features a state of the art LANC control system that allows accessing almost all camcorder functions, including the White Balance push button, the external controls on the housing are linked by 12 electromagnetic pushbuttons to corresponding controls on the camera inside the case. The Mangrove housing is designed for optimal grip operation and it is depth rated to 200 meters (660 feet)

The maintenance-free electronic 12-key control makes operation even easier. Now, for the first time, it is possible to operate all camcorder functions (such as manual WB, aperture and shutter time, zoom and many others) using the electronic touch screen control. This control set is very easy to use. The housing features a back 3.5” monitor that allows direct view of the camcorder´s monitor.
