At the 10th annual Monterey Shootout, over 150 underwater photographers will gather for a weekend of seminars, shooting and socializing. The divers will have 24 hours to shoot their best and compete for over $15,000 in prizes.
Film Festival;
The Friday underwater film festival is the kick off event for the Monterey Shootout. Presenters include Norbert Wu, Jim Watt, Berkley White, and film shorts by local artists. Norbert and Jim will be signing books and posters before and after the show. (6pm cocktail hour, 7pm show)
Seminars:
Just before the awards ceremony on Sunday, Daniel Brown, evangelist for Adobe, will present a 2 hour seminar on Photoshop CS with a question and answer session to follow.

New Digital Rules:
We've embraced the digital workflow... two levels of Photoshop adjustments will be allowed in the digital categories, and all post production methods will be allowed on the 1 minute video entries. See the website for official rules and category descriptions.
Saturday Night Beach Party:
After a day of diving, fill up on barbecue and tell lies around the bonfire.... California style. This relaxing evening is a great opportunity meet new dive buddies and is always a favorite.
