The greatest diversity of species is found in the Indo-Pacific tropics with a concentration of species within the Coral Triangle (CT), encompassing the waters of six Southeast Asian countries: Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Malaysia, Timor-Leste and Solomon Islands.
