Results of Bodrum World Championship announced
The results of the thirteenth CMAS World Underwater Photography Championship have been announced. The event was held from 26-31 May at Bodrum, Turkey, and the Turkish National Team were the overall winners. Orhan Aytür, again of Turkey, was the individual winner and carries the title of CMAS World Champion. The awards were presented at a function in the amphitheater of Bodrum Castle on 30 May.

The thirteenth CMAS World Underwater Photography Championship was held between the 26-31 May 2011 at Bodrum, Turkey, hosted and organized by the Turkish Underwater Sports Federation (TSSF).
Twenty-three countries were represented with a total of eighty-eight participants in the event.
Team winners were the Turkish National Team with Orhan Aytur as the new CMAS World Champion, Kerim Sabuncuoglu achieved a second place in “wide angle without model category” with their diving assistants Asim Dumlu and Birkan Babakol. Bedri Sincar who is the captain of the Turkish National Team.
The championship started with the welcome cocktail on 26 May and continued with the practice dives on the following days. All the diving programs were successfully completed with the competition dives held on 28-29 May. The results of the competition were evaluated by the international jury on 30 May and announced to the public on the same evening with a carnival celebration at the 1500 seat amphitheater in the Bodrum Castle.
The thirteenth CMAS World Underwater Championship became an attraction event for both locals and tourists in Bodrum and helped to preserve and develop an international dialogue.
