Seacam 3D housing featured on Canon Professional Network
The Canon Professional Network has featured an interview, film and images captured by Roberto Rinaldi using the Seacam 3D beam splitter housing system. This has two EOS C300 cameras at right angle to each other producing the 3D image and unconventionally, uses a special dome port specifically designed for a stereo system. Roberto has used it with modified Canon EF lenses with focal lengths from 14mm wide-angle to 50mm macro.
In addition, the camera operator can control interaxial distance and stereography underwater using special monitors equipped with 3D Assist functionality. These are able to show the two images from the two cameras overlapped. This makes it possible to evaluate the separations between the two images, and hence judge how the resulting 3D image will look.
