Sony announces HDR-T10 3D HD camcorder
At CES, Sony announced their entry in 3D with the HDR TD10, a dual lens, dual backlit CMOS sensor 3D HD camcorder which records 3D 1080i in a new format called MVC. The TD10 has dual Sony G lenses, feeding dual Exmor R sensors and processed by dual BIONZ processors. The result is recorded as 1080i in a new 28mbps format called MVC.
The MFD is 80cm at 34.4mm focal length and the LCD monitor allows viewing of 3D clips without glasses.The camera has a built in flash for still pics (2D only) and the lens in 3D mode has 10x optical zoom. OIS is only available in wide mode in 3D.
The camera will be shipping in April at MSRP of US$1499.99
