Sony’s new image editing app, Imaging Edge, is now available for download. The new app offers three modes: Remote, Viewer and Edit.

In Remote mode, Imaging Editor allows for tethered shooting control of compatible Sony cameras. This includes composition tools and focus adjustment.

Image selection mode allows for ratings to be added to images. This rating images is written into Adobe XMP, so is accessible via Adobe Bridge and Photoshop.

Imaging Edge also offer a RAW conversion, with options to control brightness, color, and white balance. Sony’s “Pixel Shift Multi Shooting” option with the a7r III produces images with an .ARQ format. The new app allows these to be converted to TIFF, JPG or “other” formats.

Sony’s Imaging Edge is available in Windows and Mac versions.
