Apple adds 4K support to iMovie
Apple has released iMovie version 10.1 which adds support for 4K video to the app. HD output is now available at 1080p at 60 frames per second. Other improvements include a redesigned media browser and Projects view.

Sony has released a new Handycam that will record 4K footage at 100Mbps in an XAVC format at 25p. The FDR-AXP33 has built-in image stabilization and an “enhanced high-performance electronic viewfinder”. It has a manual control ring and a button that can be assigned to zoom, focus or exposure.
JVC has announced three handheld 4K cameras. All three feature dual SDHC/SDXC card slots, 3.5-inch LCD displays and 1.56 megapixel color viewfinders, both with smart focus assist functions, and offer two-channel audio recording. The GY-LS300 has a super 35mm sensor with a MFT lens mount, the GY-HMI70 a fixed zoom lens, and the GY-HM200 can stream video via Ustream or other destinations.
