The Photo Society is hosting a webinar with David Doubilet and Jennifer Hayes on 5 April at 12:00 PM EST. After they present their images, there will be the opportunity for a moderated question and answer session.
David Doubilet’s new hardback book:”Two Worlds: Above and Below the Sea” is shipping today. It presents a stunning collection of 80 beautiful prints of the photographer’s over-under or half-and-half images, shot in a diverse range of habitats and environments. It is Doubilet’s first publication in two decades, and is (in the opinion of the editor) absolutely worth the wait!

An image shot by underwater photographer David Doubilet is featured on the National Geographic Creative Blog this week. The shot was taken off the coast of Cuba and features Jennifer Hayes and a crocodile coming in for a closer look. The “behind the shot” features perspectives from either side of the lens and is part of a larger series of images taken by the duo in Cuba.
National Geographic has published 17 of underwater photographer David Doubilet’s most “jaw-dropping” images as well as an interview in honor of World Oceans Day. Doubilet, widely considered one of the most influential underwater photographers of all time, had his first image published in National Geographic magazine in 1972. It is fitting to choose the images of such a well respected photographer as a window into the ocean on this day.
David Doubilet and Jen Hayes will be delivering their “Coral Kingdoms and Empires of Ice” lecture in Bel Air, MD on 29 October. Part of the National Geographic Live tour, the talk is about the corals of Kimbe Bay, Papua New Guinea, the ice-filled waters of Antarctica and Canada’s Gulf of St. Lawrence.
Three of the “big guns” in underwater imaging, David Doubilet, Jen Hayes and Hal Silverman have two spaces left on their workshop at Sunset House on Grand Cayman from 16 to 23 May. Each day of the event will feature lectures, diving/shooting, post-production and an evening presentation of the day’s work.

It is being held from 16 to 23 May at Sunset House on Grand Cayman. The instructional team do not offer these workshops often, so it represents a great opportunity to enhance your photographic skills with some of the true “masters” of the art.
