Wetpixel’s Drew Wong presents a comprehensive report from the 2019 ADEX Show. Held in the Suntec Center, Singapore, the show is the longest-running and biggest dive show in Asia and had numerous panel discussion and events centered around underwater imaging. In addition, the now infamous Wetpixel/Sam’s Tours Imaging party was held at the Armoury, and Drew has shared his images from the event. If you weren’t there, you missed out!
Wetpixel’s Drew Wong reports from the 2018 ADEX show, which was held at the Suntec Convention Center, Singapore from 6 to 8 April. The show attracted over 62,000 visitors and had a lively schedule of events and lectures. The 2018 Voice of the Oceans contest live judging was held, with a jury panel from the USA, Australia, France, the UK, Germany and the Philippines. The Asian Dive Exhibition (ADEX) continues to buck the trend in terms of visitor numbers, with nearly 58,000 visitors attending this year’s show. Many imaging product manufacturers attended, and the show drew an “all star” contingent of still and video shooters. Wetpixel’s Drew Wong was on hand to ensure that those of us that could not attend are kept appraised of all the new developments.

Drew gives us an illustrated run-down of all the new products on display, and the dishes the dirt on who did what to who at the Wetpixel/Scubacam ADEX Imaging party.
As it has been for the last 3 years, the ScubaCam/Wetpixel party was held on the first night of the Asian Dive Expo 2013 at Verve Pizza Bar. This year, the turn out was especially strong, with over 40 people joining the party, and it turned into a standing room only affair. From manufacturers like Subal and Nauticam to dive centers and even conservationists like Manta Trust, it was a fun night… and yes, we closed the bar down! I’ll let the pictures do the talking.
