Ikelite is shipping their 200DL housing for the Panasonic LUMIX GH6 camera. Constructed from the company’s signature ABS-PC acrylic, it has the option of an M24 port for HDMI 2.0 out, along with an M16 accessory port. The housing uses Ikelite’s DL port system.
Nauticam is shipping their housing for the Panasonic GH6 camera. The NA-GH6 uses the N85 port system and is optimized for HDMI 2.0 out with an M24 bulkhead and an M10 mounting point. Strobe triggering is via fiber optic.
The Panasonic GH6 has recently been officially announced and filmmaker Matthias Lebo has noted that it shines with some cool new features. However, he then goes on to ask whether any of these upgrades are useful when using the GH6 for filming underwater?
Panasonic has announced the long-awaited LUMIX DC-GH6 micro four-thirds mirrorless camera. It offers ProRes 422 HQ and 422 internal recording and 5.7K at ups to 60p or unlimited UHD 10-Bit 4:2:0 at 120fps. The sensor is 25MP with a native ISO range of 100-25600 via a new Venus image processor. Forthcoming firmware updates will allow for direct recording to SSD via USB and HDMI out at 2.1 standards.
