The 2014 Festival Mondial de l’image Sous-Marin was held in Marseille from 30 October to 2 November. Wetpixel was fortunate to have their “roving reporter” Ellen Cuylaerts attend the show and she has kindly written a personal report of the show. The 2013 Festival Mondiale de l’Image Sous Marine, often known as the “Antibes festival” (even though it is now held in Marseille!) is now calling for entries for its imaging and video competition. Wetpixel will be reporting from the festival and assisting in the judging of the “International Underwater Photography Olympics”.
Photographers from the same country will be invited to team-up during the 2013 HP Red Sea shoot-out and to put together a portfolio for submission into a National Team category. The judging phase and awards ceremony will take place during the fortieth Festival Mondial de l’image Sous Marine from October 31 to November 3, 2013, in Marseille, France. The category’s judging panel will cast their votes live on stage during the Festival, in a “Eurovision” type event.
