Samsung’s 2019 theme “Over the Horizon” features underwater video of free diver Ai Futaki and the plentiful underwater life of Sipadan, Malaysia shot by Scubazoo’s Simon Enderby. The theme is arranged by Steven Price and was recorded at London’s iconic Abby Road Studios.
Episode 4 of the Scubazoo web series Timor-Leste from Below has been released. This episode focuses on the Wawata Topu, the mermaids of Timor-Leste. “In a small village in the back of beyond a team of ladies are challenging stereotypes. Taking to the ocean to collect clams, shells and to spear reef fish, Bertie goes to learn more about the Wawata Topu (women divers), the mermaids of Timor-Leste.”

This time the series takes place in Timor-Leste, one of the ocean’s last frontiers and home to the largest animal on earth, the blue whale.

The series is once again hosted by Aaron “Bertie” Gekoski, but this time takes place in Indonesia. The first episode leads off from the home base of Scuba Junkie Sangalaki dive resort.

Scubazoo, based at Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, has just published a new book entitled “Sensational Seas of Sabah.” The book features 300 images of marine life and seascapes arranged on the form of a journey from Tiga Island in the south west to Sipadan in the south.
Malaysian based filmmakers Scubazoo were recently contracted to produce a collection of five short films for educational purposes by a Hong Kong Aquarium.
