The 2020 Underwater Photographer of the Year contest is making its final call for entries. It offers 12 standard categories and 2 special ones for marine conservation imagery and photographic books. The deadline for entries is 11:59 GMT on 3 January 2020 and the winners will be announced at the Go Diving Show in Coventry, UK on 22 February.
The 2018 Underwater Photographer of the Year contest (UPY) has announced its results. Tobias Friedrich from Germany won the overall title with an amazing stitched image from the hold of SS Thistlegorm in the Red Sea. Congratulations to all the others among the placings and especially to all the members of the Wetpixel community.
The Underwater Photographer of the Year (UPY)contest has released the results of its 2016 contest. Overall winner was Davide Lopresti with his image of a spiny seahorse. Dan Bolt took the prize for the best image from the UK, Pier Mane the best upcoming photographer and Mary Engels Dunmore the most promising UK photographer. Hearty congratulations to all those in the placings.
