As underwater photographers, we know enough about mantis shrimps that we exercise caution when photographing them. But did you know mantis shrimps and Pringles potato chips share something in common? Here are two viral and informative videos about these amazing critters that took over the internet this week.

The first video is from a series titled Smarter Every Day with Destin and goes into the amazing biomechanics of mantis shrimp as well as some incredible slow motion smashing footage.

The second video illustrates a mantis shrimp spearing a fish at 1500 frames per second filmed by Dr. Jamie Seymour from James Cook University and filmmaker Richard Fitzpatrick.
