The Underwater Tour has announced that their annual photo contest will now be held online. Entries open on 12 May and will close on 24 July. Voting for the “People’s Choice Awards” will start on 12 July and finish on 24 July, before an online awards ceremony on 2 August.

The Underwater Tour Awards 2020 goes digital.

Here is a snapshot of key dates and important information for participating underwater photographers

One month left for entries… counting down! The submission deadline for the Underwater Tour’s international photography competition is midnight AEST May 30, 2020. Entries will be judged by an esteemed international panel of award-winning photographers and Underwater Tour speakers; Darren Jew, Jürgen Freund, Aaron Wong, William Tan, and Jasmine Carey.

People’s choice awards – online voting opens on 12 May and closes on 24 July 2020.

Announcing our live-stream Awards Ceremony at 7 pm on Sunday 2 August 2020. Everyone is welcome to watch online.

There are fabulous prizes for each of the five (5) category winners comprise; AUD$500 cash, a Nautilus Lifeline personal rescue beacon, and Momento Pro AUD$250 photo book voucher PLUS an overarching GURU AWARD for the winning portfolio submission of a minimum of five (5) photos. The Guru winner will receive a Whales Underwater whale swim experience of 7 nights/5 days on the water in Tonga.

Winners will also benefit from massive social media exposure through our combined sharing network, with participating sponsors and judges sharing the winning images with hundreds of thousands of photography and diving fans.
