Extreme surfer and photographer Chris Burkard’s imagery is featured on 500ISO. Burkard specializes in surfing and photographing places that are hard to get to and somewhat extreme in climate and location. To quote him “Anything that is worth pursuing is going to require us to suffer, just a little bit.”

He recently gave a talk at TED where he explains his “personal crusade against the mundane”.
