WPOTY18: Highly Commended images preview
The Natural History Museum (NHM) has released a set of 14 of the highly commended images from the 2018 Wildlife Photographer of the Year contest.
“Wildlife Photographer of the Year showcases the world’s best nature photography and photojournalism,” NHM says. “Through their ability to inspire curiosity and wonder, the [photos] showcase wildlife photography as an art form. They also challenge us to consider both our place in the natural world and our responsibility to protect it.”
This year’s contest received over 45,000 entries from photographers in 95 countries around the world.
The overall winners from the contest’s categories will be revealed on October 16 at an awards ceremony at the Natural History Museum.
