Subal is accepting orders for its housing for the Nikon D6 camera. The ND6 has options for electrical or fiber optic triggering of strobes, including a TTL option, and has an M14 bulkhead for HDMI out or a vacuum leak detection system.
Nauticam Ships Housing for Panasonic GH5 Camera Family
Nauticam is shipping their new housing for the Panasonic GH5 family, including the new GH5 Mark 2. It has a number of video-oriented features, like angled handles, integrated tripod mounts, lever control of white balance presets, and an M28 bulkhead for HDMI out.
Seacam Ships Housing for Sony A1
Seacam is shipping their housing for the Sony A1 full frame mirrorless camera. It offers S6 and/or fiber optic strobe triggering and is compatible with all standard Seacam ports. It has 4 bulkheads for S6, vacuum, or video out and is tested to 80m (with a super deep version also available.)
Second Edition of Blackwater Creatures Available
The second edition of Susan Mears and Linda Ianniello’s excellent “Blackwater Creatures-A Guide to Southeast Florida Blackwater Diving” is now available. The authors introduce divers to the amazing creatures observed during blackwater diving and help to identify them. the second edition has 70 new pages and now features 380 images in a softcover format.
Canon Announces the RF 14-35mm f/4 Lens
Canon has announced the RF 14-35mm f/4 full frame wide-angle lens. It has a minimum 7.9 in (20 cm) focusing distance and is equipped with image stabilization.
Nikon Announces the Z fc DX Mirrorless Camera
Nikon has announced the Z fc DX mirrorless camera. It features “heritage designed” features a 9MP sensor with the EXPEED 6 image processor and an ISO range up to 25600. In addition, Nikon announced the NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR lens, and the prime NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 (SE) lenses.
