Sony Announces 14mm Ultra Wide Angle Lens
Sony has announced the FE 14mm F1.8 GM ultra-wide angle lens. Constructed with 14 elements in 11 groups, it has a minimum focus distance of 9.8 in. (25 cm) and offers a 114° field of view on land. It also has a rear filter holder.

The 2021 Underwater Photo Marathon is now accepting entries. The contest is based online and offers categories for Macro, Ambient, Wreck, Fish, Fashion & Creativity, Cave & Cavern, and Video. The deadline for entries is 25 May 2021.
Wetpixel Live: Shark Conservation and UW Image-Makers
Reacting to a recent post and multiple online and physical campaigns about an apparent overturn of the current shark fishing ban in the Maldives, Wetpixel Editor Adam Hanlon sets out the story behind this controversy. It now seems that the comments that provoked the campaign were taken somewhat out of context and the Maldives Majlis remains committed to the shark fishing ban and is in fact strengthening its enforcement of it.
