Isotta announces housing for GoPro HERO 8 Black
Isotta has released their signature red aluminum housing for the GoPro HERO 8 Black Action camera. Waterproof to 200 meters, it has Isotta’s closure system, and the company is designing red and magenta filters, along with a flip bracket.
Video: Nikon Z6 Subject Tracking AF testing by Manny Ortiz
In February, Nikon released updated firmware for their Z6 and Z7 mirrorless cameras. Version 3.00 offered an improvement to subject-tracking AF. Specifically, the F1 and F2 buttons can be used to initiate autofocus, and “subject-tracking AF enabled in photo mode has been changed to more closely resemble that of the 3D-tracking option for digital SLR cameras.”
Video: Raja Ampat with the Z CAM E2 by Hergen Spalink
Hergen Spalink of Nauticam has shared video that he shot with the Z Cam E2 in a Nauticam NA-E2 housing in Raja Ampat. The camera offers 4K @160FPS and 13-15 stops of dynamic range. It can record in ZRAW or ProRes. The camera is very light and compact and offers full digital cinema performance at around $1,999.

National Geographic and OceanX are seeking a digital producer/editor that can produce video creatives to support the marketing of the Mission OceanX television show and both organization’s social media channels. The project starts in May the year and will run through until February 2022.
Nikon Releases N-Log 3D LUT for D780
Nikon has released a lookup table (LUT) for use when color grading movie footage shot with N-Log gamma with the D780 camera. It can be downloaded for macOS and Windows and includes LUT files for Nikon’s mirrorless full-frame Z6 and Z7. According to Nikon, the files work in Adobe Premiere Pro CC, Apple Final Cut Pro X and Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve 16, but other editing software should also be compatible.
Live Reports: Red Sea Diving Festival
The Red Sea Diving Festival, in the resort of Eilat, is being held from 11 to 14 March. The event focuses on underwater imaging and has an underwater image gallery along with a photographic shootout. The deadline for entries to the 2020 DEEP Indonesia International photo contest is today (Saturday 07 March) at midnight PST. Please make your final edits and get those entries in as soon as possible. Categories for the contest are; Divers, Animal Portraits, Animal Behaviour, Reefscapes, and Compact Cameras. We have an amazing judging panel consisting of Andrew Marriot, Ellen Cuylaerts, Kat Jonker, Mike Bartick Renee Capozzola and Tobias Friedrich.
Call for Entries: DEEP Indonesia International Photo Contest
The deadline for the 2020 DEEP Indonesia International Underwater Photo Competition is fast approaching. Entries need to be submitted by midnight this Saturday, 7 March. DEEP offers categories for Compact Cameras, Divers, Animal Portraits, Animal Behavior, and Reefscapes. Entries can be edited (although this is a photography contest rather than a Photoshop one).
