The results of the Por el Planeta conservation photography contest were announced at a gala event in Mexico City on 11 November. The winner of the Underwater Category was Francis Pérez and Luis Javier Sandoval was awarded the people’s choice award.

Voting for the Por el Planeta photo competition people’s choice award is now open. Twenty-five outstanding wildlife images, including several spectacular underwater images, have been selected from thousands of entries to compete for the $10,000 prize.
