UW Technics ships TTL converter for Sea&Sea
UW Technics are shipping their TTL converter for Nikon and Canon cameras housed in Sea&Sea MDX housings. It can be easily installed by the user and can trigger strobes optically or electrically. The board also offers on-camera control of strobe functions and output.
Adobe removed the $9.99 Creative Cloud plan and then reinstated it
On their website, Adobe changed the pricing for their Creative Cloud Photography plan yesterday, removing the popular $9.99 option and replacing it with a $20/month option that added 1TB of online storage. Petapixel posted about the change and Adobe were quite quick to respond, stating that they are simply beta testing pricing options and that the $9.99 option is currently still available. At this time, and contrary to some reports, the $9.99 option has been reinstated.
Fantasea ships FA6400 housing
Fantasea is shipping their housing for the Sony a6400 mirrorless camera. The polycarbonate FA6400 ships with a pre-dive vacuum system, leak detector and uses the FML port system.
Issue 108 of UwP magazine is available
Issue 108 of Underwater Photography (UwP) magazine is now available to download. It features reviews of The Nauticam housing for try Blackmagic Pocket cinema camera, the Ikelite housings for the Sony a6400, the Nikon Z7 and the Scubalamp MS20. Marine life features include breaching sunfish, blanket octopus, and Vancouver salmon, with images from Molnar Janos cave and French Polynesia are highlighted locations.

National Geographic’s Hostile Planet series is currently airing internationally. The “Oceans” episode focuses on incredible stories about marine creatures. Wetpixel reached out to the Director of the episode, Sophie Morgan (@sophiedives), and camera operators Dan Beecham (@danbeecham) and Roger Munns (@roger.munns) to find out more about the trials and tribulations of filming the series, and how they went about capturing the amazing footage that is featured in it.
Apple Aperture to stop working after macOS Mojave
Hidden away in a note in Apple support is the announcement that Apple’s macOS will no longer support Aperture after the current Mojave (10.14) version. Apple discontinued the development of Aperture in 2014.

Issue 14 of Heinz magazine is now available to view and download. Featured in this edition are illustrated articles about the Canadian salmon run, the Netherlands, the Banda Sea, and Madeira. In addition, there is a number of featured “Top Shot” photographers.
