Ikelite ships dome port for compact housings
Ikelite is shipping their DC4 6-inch dome port suitable for use with their compact camera housings. Constructed of acrylic, the dome replaces the standard flat port and allows for the full FOV of the camera’s lens. As it avoids the “double water line” that is created with wet lenses, it is suitable for creating over-under images.
UW Technics ships TTL converter for Olympus cameras
UW Technics are shipping a TTL and optical converter board for Olympus cameras. It is compatible with all newer Olympus mirrorless cameras in Nautica housings and Inon, Sea&Sea, Subtronic, and Ikelite strobes. It is available for self-installation and provides two optical and one electrical TTL output.
Inon ships Snoot Set for Z330/D200
Inon has announced a snoot set that will fit on their Z330 and D200 strobes. Both strobes feature domed lenses and the new kit allows the use of Inon’s existing snoot system with them. It ships with both 10mm and 26mm restrictor tubes and the new set features a brushed aluminum that focuses the strobes’ output.

Inon ships System Base III
Inon is shipping their System Base III tray and handle system. It is compatible with a wide variety of housings. The tray can be fitted with one or two handles and these can be attached at three angles. The handles can be fitted with a wide variety of mounting options for strobes, lights or other accessories.
Inon ships X2 housing for Panasonic GX9
Inon has officially announced their X2 housing for the Panasonic GX9 mirrorless camera. Constructed of aluminum, it has a machined front section and a cast rear. It has three independent dials to control exposure, has a wide range of lens support and ships with an audible and visual leak detector.
Report: Nikon Professional Roadshow 2019
Wetpixel attended the recent Nikon Professional Services Roadshow and was able to get hands-on with the new Z series mirrorless full frame cameras. We were able to test the cameras’ autofocus with fisheye and macro lenses, albeit not underwater. In addition, Nikon was very keen to point out their firmware update will uniquely offer the option of outputting ProRes RAW over HDMI to the Atomos Ninja V external recorder/monitor.
Canon announces the EOS RP full frame mirrorless camera
Canon has announced entry-level mirrorless cameras using their new L mount. Designed to be small and lightweight, it has a 26.2 MP full frame sensor with a Digic 8 image processor and Dual Pixel CMOS Auto Focus. Native ISO range is 100-25,600 and video can be recorded at 4K UHD 24P or full HD 60p.
