Diver encounters 10 critically endangered sawfish off Florida coast
Earth Touch News has released a video filmed by diver John Dickinson. The remarkable thing about Dickinson’s video is that is shows the ten sawfish he came across in two different locations of Florida’s Jupiter inlet. The sawfish are a critically endangered shark, and to see that number of them in the span of two locations in quite remarkable.

Tamron has announced their 10-24mm f3.5-4.5 ultra wide angle lens for cropped sensor cameras. It features Vibration Compensation, Fluorine coating and a “moisture resistant” coating. Minimum focus distance is 0.24m (9.4 in) and it is available for Nikon and Canon.
Beyonce announces second pregnancy to the world with underwater photographs
Beyonce, American singer, songwriter and actress, announced her latest pregnancy of twins with a photography album of images that was underwater photography centric. The initial image that was released, although not underwater, was the most liked image on Instagram ever. Although the underwater maternity images are not the most technically impressive photographs, they have certainly brought attention to a under appreciated medium of maternity photography.

RIP Rob Stewart
After an intensive search, Rob Stewart’s body was found by an ROV close to the wreck that he and his team was diving on late on Friday afternoon. The Wetpixel communities hearts are heavy today and our thoughts and prayers go out to his many friends and family.

he journal Science Direct has posted a paper that attempts to catalog the positive economic effects of shark conservation to the Bahamas. Around US$ 113.8 million is generated annually by the shark diving industry for the local economy.
Urgent help needed: Rob Stewart missing off Islamorada, Florida
Environmentalist, shark activist and filmmaker Rob Stewart did not return from a dive off Islamorada in the Florida Keys yesterday. Search assets are being mobilised now, and if you have a boat or skills that may be useful in a search and recovery operation, please contact the Florida Coast Guard centre or if you are at sea, the cutter Charles Sexton on channel 16.
