UK Government Announces Shark Fin Ban
Our friends at SeaSave have highlighted some excellent new protections for sharks that are currently going through the British legislative process. The government plans to introduce laws that will render the import or export of any detached fins illegal. The ban will extend to canned products and other shark products.

The Diving Talks diving congress is advising that their bookings are nearly full for the event. It is being held at Tróia, Portugal from 8 to 10 October and features a panel of diving luminaries.
Nauticam Ships Housings for SmallHD 503 Monitors
Nauticam has announced two new housings for SmallHD 503 UltraBright monitors. The NA-503 monitor is available in either HDMI (NA-503-H)or 3G-SDI (NA-503S) input versions. Both take two Sony NP-F750 batteries, via the SmallHD L series backing plate. It has 2 ports, one M16 and one M28. The latter allows for HDMI or SDI throughput with an appropriate bulkhead.
Canon Announces XF605 4K Camcorder
Canon has announced the XF605 Professional camcorder which offers 4K/60p/4:2:2/10-bit/HDR video and records to dual SD cards. It has a 15 x zoom lens, 1.00 inch (25mm) sensors, and the DIGIC DV7 processor along with Dual Pixel AF1 with head/face detection.

UW Technics has announced their TTL circuit for Nikon cameras housed in Aquatica housings. It offers fiber optic or electronic triggering, offers High-Speed Sync with compatible strobes, and in-camera control of the flash output. It can be easily installed by users.
