Call for Entries: SDUFEX 2021
The 2021 San Diego Undersea Film Exhibition (SDUFEX) is now calling for entries. Due to the pandemic, the festival will be held in a virtual format. Submitted films must be either 5 or 10 minutes long, and at least 50% of the footage must be captured underwater.

NOAA Webinar About Whale Sharks
Wetpixel member Paul Rosenblum has pointed out that NOAA National Marine Sanctuaries has published an amazing series of webinar recordings for those interested in the marine environment. Results: GDT European Wildlife Photographer
The 2021 GDT European Wildlife Photographer of the Year has announced its results. The overall winner was a long exposure flash image of a barn swallow, captured by Karsten Mosebach and Bernhard Volmer. Although the contest does not offer a dedicated underwater category, there were a number of underwater images among the finalists. Hearty congratulations to all the winners and finalists.
Support the US Shark Fin Ban
Sea Save has launched a campaign to support the passage of the Shark Fin Sales Elimination Act. It aims to ban the buying and selling of shark fin within the US. The Act was passed through Congress during the last session, but the Senate took no action. One way to ensure that the Act gets the attention it deserves from politicians is to send your elected representative an email expressing your support.
Issue 120 of UwP Magazine is Available
Issue 120 of Underwater Photography (UwP) magazine is now available to download. The May/June issue contains reviews of the Sony A1/Nauticam NA-A1, Z Cam E2, Nauticam WWL-1B, and INON GoPro accessories. Henley Spiers writes about the Under Bath Water contest while Alex Tattersall, Grant Thomas and Alasdair O’Dell have their images featured.
