Jean-Michel Cousteau softens opposition to Caymans cruise port development
Jean-Michel Cousteau, son of the famous underwater explorer and filmmaker Jacques Yves Cousteau, has performed an apparent volte-face and significantly toned down his previously strenuous opposition to a contentious plan to expand Grand Caymans’ George Town Harbor. It is also reported the Cousteau has accepted a role with one of the companies that are funding the planned development.
Adobe releases significant updates to iOS and iPadOS Lightroom apps
Adobe has released a new version (5.1.0) of their Lightroom for iOS and iPadOS. It can now import RAW files directly from a card reader attached to either of the devices and can export images in multiple formats, sizes, watermarks and color spaces.

Sea&Sea announces MDX housing for Sony a7rIV
Sea&Sea has announced their MDX housing for the Sony a7rIV mirrorless full-frame camera. It has a revised design, and ships with new silicon grip inserts, two 1” balls, and the Leak Sentinel XB vacuum leak detector. Strobe triggering is via fiber optic or optional electronic sync.
Achtel Limited announces housing for Sigma fp Cinema camera
Achtel Limited has announced their housing for the Sigma fp Digital Cinema Camera. Similar in size and weight to the original Nikonos V camera, the housing has a titanium lens mount that allows the use of Nikonos water contact designed manual focus lenses. It allows for internal and external recording to SSD and has a vacuum valve as standard.

UW Technics ships TTL circuit for Sony mirrorless cameras in Sea&Sea housings
UW Technics has announced that their TTL converter for Sony a7 cameras in Sea&Sea housings is now shipping. It offers manual and TTL support for most Inon, Ikelite, Sea&Sea, and Subtronic strobes via either fiber optic or electrical connection. The TTL board can be installed by the user.
Backscatter announces MF-1 Mini Flash and OS-1 Optical Snoot
Recently announced at DEMA, Backscatter has released full details of their MF-1 Mini Flash and OS-1 Optical Snoot. Designed for macro shooters, it is also suitable for compact cameras and creative macro imagery. Powered by a single Nitecore 18650 cell, it has an integral focus light and modeling flash and the strobe ships with light masks.
