Paper documents manta mating behavior
A paper has been published in the journal Fish Biology detailing a 14-year study into the mating and courtship behavior of oceanic (Manta birostris) and reef (Mobula alfredi) manta rays. The study used behavioral observations, video and photographic records to catalog 229 courtship events in the Maldives.

Sea Save is holding its annual online year-end auction. Now in its tenth year, it offers 58 lots of exotic travel packages from around the world. 100% of the money raised from the sale of the donated lots in the auction goes directly to the Sea Save Foundation.

Nauticam ships NA-R housing for Canon EOS-R
Nauticam is shipping their NA-R housing for the Canon EOS-R full frame mirrorless camera. It is compatible with both the new RF and legacy EF mount lenses via Nauticam’s N120 port system. It is equipped with two lens release buttons for the different lens types. Flash triggering is via optional manual or TTL triggers and it ships with a vacuum bulkhead as standard.

Wetpixel and Alex Mustard have again joined forces in Lembeh to run their highly popular Critter Photography Workshop. The first workshop will run from are 3 to 12 October 2020, with the second from 28 November to 7 December. Change of ownership at Wetpixel
Wetpixel Editor Adam Hanlon is very excited to announce that he has taken on the ownership of Wetpixel with effect from 1 December. Practically this means that he will be able to devote significantly more time and resources to developing the site and creating new features of benefit to the Wetpixel community. This will build on the fantastic work done by the previous owner, Eric Cheng, who will continue to be involved as an advisor.
Live Reports: Anilao Underwater Shootout 2018
Wetpixel is reporting “live” from the sixth Anilao Underwater Shootout. The event attracts large numbers of undewater photographers froround the globe and is hosted by the Philippines Deapartment of Tourism.
