The United Nations has opened entries for the ninth World Oceans Day Photo Competition. The deadline for entries is 15 April and the results will be released on World Oceans Day on 8 June.
Aquatica Ships Housing for Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II
Aquatica is shipping their housing for the Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II mirrorless cameras. It ships with either Nikonos, Ikelite, or optical strobe triggering and Aquatica’s Surveyor vacuum system as standard. It is compatible with Aquatica’s SLR ports and can be used with the Nikon ZF adapter or native Z mount lenses.

Video: The Wreck of Endurance
The Endurance22 Expedition has located Sir Ernest Shackleton’s ship, Endurance, and produced some haunting video footage of her amazingly intact wreck. She lies at 3,000 meters (9850 feet) in the Weddell Sea. The footage was captured by an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV).
Marelux Ships Smart Optical Flash Tube
Marelux is shipping their Smart Optical Flash Tube (SOFT) strobe output shaping device. Compatible with Sea&Sea YS D2, YS D3, Inon Z240, Z330, and Retra Flash Pro X strobes, it offers an adjustable light shape-controlled via an external dial and has a built-in battery-powered aiming light.
Sea&Sea Announces Vacuum System for MDX Housings
Sea&Sea has announced their new vacuum leak detection system for their MDX housings. Once activated and vacuum pumped, the temperature compensated circuit offer continued monitoring of its status via LEDs. The circuit can be installed by Sea&Sea.
Report: Go Diving Show 2022
For obvious reasons, gatherings of underwater image makers have been rare over the past few years. The first post-pandemic dive show in the UK was the Go Diving Show, which was held at the Stoneleigh Showgrounds, in the UK’s Midlands from 4 to 6 March. Wetpixel was there to catch up with everyone.
