Casio announces waterproof 360° camera

Casio has announced a 360° camera that has a detachable lens unit featuring a 1.35mm lens that offers a fisheye capture equivalent to a 13.4mm lens on a full frame camera. The Casio EX-FR200 offers 4 capture modes: A 180° 3888 x 3888px fisheye spherical view, an unwrapped 360° 7456x1864 panorama, a super-wide 208° image or, when two lenses are combined back to back, full 360°. It also captures 4K video at 30fps in 180° mode and the camera is waterproof to around 3m (IPX8).

Here’s your chance to name a new species of nudibranch

A new species of nudibranch has been discovered off the coast of Western Australia and the Western Australia Museum and RN’s Off Track want your help in naming the species. Dr. Nerida Wilson discovered the critter while scuba diving off the north-western portion of WA. The genus name of the nudibranch is Moridilla, so the chosen species name will have to go with that genus name.

Gates Underwater Products has announced the release of their housing for the Canon ME20F-SH low light camera. It is integrated with the Transvision StarliteHD OLED monitor in the Gates Starlite ST5 housing. The system is designed to offer the ability to capture low light scenes using natural lighting underwater like coral spawning, natural bioluminescence and predator activity at night.
