Video: Wild Oceans coral feeding
The Earth Touch Wild Oceans channel has just shared some footage of coral feeding filmed by Stewart Whitfield. With the sound of the ocean in the background, the alternating feeding behavior of these creatures is a mesmerizing behavior to watch.
ON1 announces Photo RAW
ON1 has announced their new Photo RAW processor and photo editor. It is designed for use with high resolution images and fast computer graphics systems and has ON1 Browse integrated into it, giving the option of importing and rating images. Edits are non-destructive and are promised to be “in real-time, without slider lag or frustrating waits for redraw”.
Review: Seacam Remote Strobe Trigger
Wetpixel Editor Adam Hanlon reviews Seacam’s optical remote strobe trigger. Remote optical sensors provide additional practical and creative opportunities for both wide angle and macro shooting. The new optical trigger extends these to Seacam strobes equipped with an S6 bulkhead.
UPY images on display in Cape Town
The 2016 Underwater Photographer of the Year (UPY) image collection is going on tour! First stop will be in Cape Town, South Africa. In partnership with the South Africa’s National Sea Rescue Institute, the images will be displayed at the Chavonnes Battery Museum, Clock Tower, V&A Waterfront, from 1st May to 30th September.

2016 Winners of University of Miami’s underwater photography contest announced
The University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of marine and Atmospheric Science has announced the winners of their 2016 Annual Underwater Photography Contest. With over 500 entries from around the world, the best overall image was shot by Beth Watson and features mangroves and orbital batfish in Raja Ampat, Indonesia.
Fantasea announces housing for Canon G9 X
Fantasea has announced their forthcoming housing for the Canon G9 X compact camera. As reported in Wetpixel’s ADEX coverage it provides access to the camera’s touch screen controls. It is constructed of polycarbonate, with access to all camera buttons and is supplied with a leak detector and an accessory pack.
