Ikelite Ships Housing for Panasonic LUMIX S5
Ikelite is shipping their 200DL housings for the Panasonic Lumix S5. It ships with a manual hotshoe (TTL is available as an option) and has an M16 accessory port or an M24 port on request. Controls available on the housing include the “Yes” control on the camera’s joystick.
Wetpixel Red Sea Odyssey 2022
We are super happy to announce the Wetpixel Red Sea Underwater Photography Odyssey. We have booked the amazing liveaboard VIP ONE for two trips of photographically productive exploration of the Red Sea’s amazing reefs next year. The dates are 22 to 29 May, followed by 29 May to 5 June. This is timed to be the best opportunity for the amazing schools of fish that aggregate at Ras Mohammed each year.
GoPro Ships HERO10 Action Camera
GoPro is shipping the new HERO10 action camera. Equipped with a new GP2 processor, it can capture video at 5.3K with 60fps, 4K at 120fps and 2.7K at 240fps. Still are 24MP and it has upgraded Hypersmooth Stabilization.
Anglerfish Announces Deep Housing for Panasonic BHG1
Anglerfish Creative Lighting has designed a deep water housing for the Panasonic BHG1 4K cinema camera. It can operate to 1000-2000 meters (3281-6562 feet) depending on the lens port system specified. It has M14, M16, M24, and 5/16 ports for power, control, and video out. Anglerfish are in the process of designing a leak detection circuit for underwater housings using Bluetooth Low Energy module, controlled via iOS or Android devices.
Lacie Announces Portable SSD Drives
Lacie has announced two new portable SSD drives aimed at creatives. Both can deliver read speeds of up to 1,050 MB/s and write speeds up to 1,000 MB/s, and are available in 500GB, 1TB and 2TB capacities. They use USB 3.2 and are compatible with Windows, Mac and iPad. The SSD Secure has integrated hardware encryption for adde security.
