Wetpixel Live: Nikon Z9 for Underwater Image Makers
Wetpixel Editor Adam Hanlon was fortunate to get “hand-on” with the new Nikon Z9 at a Nikon Pro event recently. He was able to do some perfunctory tests with the new camera along with some of the lenses that are useful for underwater image makers. He tries to discover whether the Z9 is an appropriate upgrade for use underwater.
AOI Ships UCS-Q1RC Strobe
AOI has announced their UCS-Q1RC strobe for the Japanese market. It has a guide number of 22 and can be triggered in TTL mode via RC wireless mode by compatible Olympus cameras. It can also be used in manual mode.
AOI Announces Housing for Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark III
AOI has announced their polycarbonate housing for the Olympus OM-D E-M1MK III. Compatible with AOI’s port system, it has an integrated optical trigger that allows syncing using the camera’s Super FP high-speed mode. The UH-EM1iii also ships with a vacuum leak detection system.

Ikelite Ships Housing for Sony a7 IV
Ikelite is shipping their housing for the Sony a7 IV mirrorless camera. Compatible with the 200DL port system. Compatible strobes can be electrically triggered with the supplied manual hotshoe or the optional TTL version. It also has an M16 bulkhead and a port for a vacuum leak detection system.
